Registration

The registration can be effectuated the following ways:

1. via direct debit authorization or a crossed (voucher) cheque. We also need the number of the course, your name and your address and phone number (if possible).
2. via fax (0511/338 798 42) giving us a direct debit authorization and the data required under 1.
3. personal in our office in the Wedekindstr.14, 30161 Hannover. Our opening hours are mo. to fr. from 10:00-13:00 am and mo.to thu. from 16:00-19:00.
4. via phone when we have already all your personal data including the debit authorization (the banking details will be compared).
5. via internet (www.bildungsverein.de) or via e-mail info@bildungsverein.de. We need the data required (see 1.). For reduced tariffs we need a certification - see next point.

Reduced tariffs

Reduced tariffs can only be granted under special conditions and proofs:

• for pupils, students, trainees and apprentices (we do not accept the international student card, students writing their doctoral thesis or students who have a contract of employment)
• for jobless persons who get unemployment benefit (we need a certification from the labour office)
• persons, who receive social welfare assistance, obtain a special reduction (usually 50%)

If a course is payed by a labour office or an office of social welfare not resident in Hannover, this institution must pay the full price.

It is necessary to certificate the reason for reduction. Without certification must be payed the full price. The participant has got 4 weeks time after the course has started, to certificate the reduction. Then the difference is payed back (minus a handling charge of 5 €).

Deferred Payment

Generally we do not accept any deferred payment.

Receipt/Certificate of Participation

Who did not get registrated personally in our office, will get the receipt the first day of class from the teacher (it may be helpful for the local tax office). If the receipt is signed by the teacher at the end of the course, it certificates a regular participation (presumed at least a presence of 70%). For further certification please see us in our office.

Advice

There will be no previous advice before the course starts (only in case of postponement).

Replacement of Teacher or Location

Due to organizational reasons a change of teacher or location may be necessary. In this case we will inform the participants as soon as possible. If the new location offered is in Hannover, the participant has not got the right to resign. The same is valid in case of the replacement of a teacher or if a day of class must be cancelled (e.g. illness).

Period of classes

Generally the courses take place 10 times (once a week 3 hrs. of class) - also during the school - holidays. If a day of class must be replaced, we try to find an other date. The money can not be demanded back!

Resignation/Reimbursement

Until two weeks before the course starts, the whole amount will be payed back.

If this period is exceeded, the money can not be claimed back! (Even in case of sickness, visa-problems etc.)

Further we need the resignation written. The course can not be transferred into another period of class.

Substitution by other persons

If a participant can not visit a course, he can name a substitude (in case of a reduced tariff we need to see the certification from the substitude, otherwise the price variance must be compensated). In some cases the Bildungsverein tries to find a substitude (if there is a waiting list - handling charge 5 €).

Foreign Language Courses

If in the first days of class a participant realizes that the level of the course is not the appropriated, we try to find another course. If this is not possible, the money will be payed back.

Data Protection

The inscription of a participant includes his agreement, that the Bildungsverein can deal with the data internally (data protection law of Lower Saxony; NDSG, 29.01.02).

Limitation of Liability

A liability for damages on the way to class, back home or during the presence in our school and loss of personal property is excluded.

Place of jurisdiction

is Hannover.
