We introduce ourselves

Wir stellen uns vor

Learning is fun! Especially if you can forget about the daily routine and share new experiences with friendly people in a pleasant atmosphere.

You can experience this in the Bildungsverein.

The Bildungsverein Soziales Lernen und Kommunikation e.V. was founded in 1981. It is an independent and non-profit institution and, according to the Lower Saxony law for further education, has been approved as an independent institution entitled to financial support since 1985. Today, the Bildungsverein is one of the most important institutions for adult education in greater Hanover.

Foreign language courses in high demand start additionally in November, February and May. Furthermore, we offer crash courses in summer, teaching the same curriculum in five weeks.

Conception

The basis of our conceptional considerations is the social aspect of adult education:

  • Lifelong learning
  • Political-democratic competence
  • Social and cultural participation
  • Personal and social competence
  • Language ability in a united Europe and a world of increasing globalisation
  • Managing new tasks and challenges in daily life
  • Integration of migrants and refugees through appropriate offers for education
  • Job-related further education beyond operational necessities
  • Exchange between people with different cultural backgrounds and experiences

From these aspects we have developed the distinctive profile of the Bildungsverein theme: fair communication is our Job (FairStändigung ist unser Job)

Which means:

Social learning and communication take the centre stage because, in addition to the educational contents, we consider the social and communicative aspects of learning to be very important. Offers for education provide opportunities for people of different origins and nationalities to make face-to-face contact. The Bildungsverein sees itself as a centre of orientation in a fast-changing society.

Participant-Orientation and social responsibility

We offer as standard a flexible approach to the demand and to the requirements of the participants, as well as the design of premises suitable for adults. Mixed calculation and public subsidies enable us to give price reductions to financially disadvantaged people.

Efficiency and reliability

The Bildungsverein offers a high-quality service and a responsible and economical handling of its finances. All our education courses fully meet our requirements of reliable adult education. The price performance ratio is participant-friendly and attractive.

Learning quality and tutors

The competence of the tutors, the size of the groups, the rooms, the time and the duration guarantee the quality of our educational offer. The number of participants is limited to 10 to 16 people (depending on type) and this provides a pleasant, effective and relaxed learning situation. The Bildungsverein is a member of the Lower Saxony association of education initiatives (Verein Niedersächsischer Bildungsinitiativen) and the registered association of the Lower Saxony adult education centres (Landesverband der Volkshochschulen Niedersachsen e.V.) Where our tutors participate and qualify in further education courses of the agency of further education.

We are audited according to the learner-orientated quality model (Lernerorientiertes Qualitätsmodell (LQW)) and, therefore, meet the requirements of quality development and evaluation of the Lower Saxony law for adult education (Niedersächsisches Erwachsenenbildungsgesetz (NEBG)). We are certified as a competent institution by the TÜV Rheinland Cert for further education measures in cooperation with the agency.
